The IGE offer a consultancy
service and report on gas installation. A directory of consultants
may be supplied at a charge. IGE also holds technical standard regulations
for industrial and commercial areas in addition to domestic regulations

Environmental Health Departments
Your local Authority (i.e.
Council) will have an environmental health department. The phone
number is available in your local telephone book. The environmental
health department can assist with safety issues that arise from
neighbouring or rented properties, concerns about public safety.
National Inspection
Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC)
NICEIC aims to protect
everyone who uses electricity from unsafe electrical installations
in homes, places of work and leisure time. In order to achieve this,
they maintain a register of electrical contractors that have been
assessed as complying with the Council's rules. They also investigate
