If
an electrical operative who does not hold any gas competencies,
but who works for a CORGI Registered business, carries out the work
along side a CORGI Registered Gas operative working for the same
business, then it is the operative who commissions the gas appliance
who has the responsibility to notify.
If an electrical operative
is a member of a Part P Scheme, other than the CORGIScheme, and
is working alongside a CORGI Registered Installer who is not a member
of a Part P Scheme, it is the electrical operative's responsibility
to notify their own scheme provider of the work undertaken for compliance
with Part P. The CORGI Registered Installer must simply notify CORGI.
The CORGI Part P Scheme is
currently only open to CORGI Registered installers, or operatives
who work for a CORGI Registered business.
